I tried a new beer today and since I need more calories in my diet plan, I figured why not a nice Stout. This <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU-EIL_fvOBfxiJmYyeOCcwzG5_8ghmVGVyjUxwYGpB_4pYD3p_LUSnwSd9bX8CLfL8LgBaOJZoNPugq5OoegIe-_GB27QCr_LVk3_9zvGSDhHazGPP0shV8MZGHPTyZ-saaB-9IdTM9No/s1600/images.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 85px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU-EIL_fvOBfxiJmYyeOCcwzG5_8ghmVGVyjUxwYGpB_4pYD3p_LUSnwSd9bX8CLfL8LgBaOJZoNPugq5OoegIe-_GB27QCr_LVk3_9zvGSDhHazGPP0shV8MZGHPTyZ-saaB-9IdTM9No/s320/images.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607419059198299234" border="0" /></a>one that I tired is from the Bear Republic Brewing Company in Sonoma Co. California. I wanted a nice dark stout and that is what I got with this one. It's called Black Bear!<br />I picked a good one and for 5 bucks in the 22oz bottle, it was a steal compared with other Stouts. This poured out pitch black with a solid two finger cap of brown foam, A perfect looking stout. Light carbonation bubbles quickly rising to the top<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbnyO0K_6TCUF9l7ziMxWP88hY4Pr3l9gpR00AJkigbuP1h0jbAvZf4CTbitW_15aLHH83w3_8rbuwENNS2zD343g-bNAiZ62omwFgP1VM1AwictczKPrpLMdGz2SWK_oc_43sPM3HP-N0/s1600/11.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbnyO0K_6TCUF9l7ziMxWP88hY4Pr3l9gpR00AJkigbuP1h0jbAvZf4CTbitW_15aLHH83w3_8rbuwENNS2zD343g-bNAiZ62omwFgP1VM1AwictczKPrpLMdGz2SWK_oc_43sPM3HP-N0/s200/11.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607419533127812834" border="0" /></a> give the head excellent retention. After most of the head was down I put my lips to the glass ready to taste from the pitch blackness within. Nice!! A sensation of malt with coffee and chocolate laced in the background. If you don't like a little after taste of malt and a little bitter you would not like this bear. It has an over all strong taste but no alcohol at the back. The carbonation is not noticible like some beers. I would say if you like a strong but smooth Stout/dark beer by all means try this one from Bear Republic Brewing Company in Sonoma Co. I am currently working for the Citadel Saginaw cluster and on the air Saturday morning from 9-2pm on WHNN and part of the <span style="color:#ff0000;">Early Shift on WIOG</span> weekdays from 6am to 10am. Nothing new as far as the health goes, but that is a good thing as to nothing to report. Other than that not a lot has changed for the past year.... may have some news before the new year which I will post if something happens!!DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-10217158964292525462009-11-22T09:03:00.012-05:002009-11-22T10:07:20.498-05:00Ok Ok, so I haven't been on here for a loooonnnnngggg time but I thought I'd put something up here since I got up early this morning and am ready for the day already. First off, I've been going to Ross Medical Education Center in Saginaw since April for Dental Assisting and I'm now done with the classroom and on to the Externship for 180 hours. I am doing my externship at Aspen Dental. It's nothing like the classroom and I don't think anything could have prepared me for the fast pace of how things work. Yes it was the same way when I got in the radio business some 20 years ago and I just have to remember that I didn't know everything then either(and still don't). So all in all I hope to find a job in either radio or dental assisting when I'm done around Christmas.<br /><br />Other than that not a lot has changed. One thing that Aija has started is making bath products like bath bombs, lip balm and lotion bars. Just click on the link below and you'll find everything you need to know about her products...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/blondiesbathworks"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 155px; height: 125px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIKBJxzVLVKyd7oFv0UnZRtYjOpP0joqgNXiHDifX4ZgtzyYtGRt7IduEFux9HMrzWMD5a6dnRkT84XpxmtghTt7lOzUtrF8qXMeKkMP723Xj1vqe4oXPL6BIrTTlDaoMejEkRnbQ1sT-t/s400/blondies.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5406930378655450194" border="0" /></a><br />Ok I haven't been drinking my usual Stouts since they are more expensive and in the summer stouts are harder to get in the "off season". Most stouts are made in the fall/winter. I just bought one that I like but it's still not as good as the Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout that I've had in the past... The new one is from Stoudts Brewing Company in Pennsylvania and it's called Fat Dog. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCoBByyYnGvNgOaeCSrYiR6gUZtDMqQTSc82Dhbwp8XdvKGqmV25_EsMx_Flpbs29H1GATKtj2EjcBawjBZ5HkKc8172gL4i4vxgmSG3PeiDKhBHgTriI6ADwNyYEBi6Y3W3sgWA3A2mZL/s1600/beer_fat-dog-sm.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 309px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCoBByyYnGvNgOaeCSrYiR6gUZtDMqQTSc82Dhbwp8XdvKGqmV25_EsMx_Flpbs29H1GATKtj2EjcBawjBZ5HkKc8172gL4i4vxgmSG3PeiDKhBHgTriI6ADwNyYEBi6Y3W3sgWA3A2mZL/s400/beer_fat-dog-sm.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5406941411639157874" border="0" /></a>It's an Imperial Oatmeal Stout which of course makes it more alcohol content. This one has 9% by volume, and the appearance is black at first, but there's a reddish opaqueness upon further inspection that becomes quite noticeable when held up to the light. It has a moderate tan head that fades to a nice heavy film over the top. I thought this one had a lot of carbonation but as it got to a more room temperature it was quite nice. The flavors were of different chocolates with just a hint of coffee. This one wasn't the perfect stout but it was pretty good. Stoudts Brewery makes quite a few <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgagH0-lyIHPWxR2sHNKSQNXOywhx9jPwMq1tMFb1g1mBeaub4QlzB9mtO0cVdvVPlMV3zNHncaqQW8JkRISWQ7XfgcJmuoZ6x8qkVQMCo5kkLXIGE7TTpUh04j8wrPopLICdSKJi01XJn4/s1600/stouts+brewery.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 186px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgagH0-lyIHPWxR2sHNKSQNXOywhx9jPwMq1tMFb1g1mBeaub4QlzB9mtO0cVdvVPlMV3zNHncaqQW8JkRISWQ7XfgcJmuoZ6x8qkVQMCo5kkLXIGE7TTpUh04j8wrPopLICdSKJi01XJn4/s320/stouts+brewery.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5406942051658804466" border="0" /></a>different seasonal brews and others year round. For over 20 years, Stoudt’s Brewing Company has grown and evolved from a small brewery with limited draught distribution, to a packaging regional microbrewery with distribution in 10 different states, producing over 10,000 barrels a year. I had to take a sip right away which wasn't bad in flavor... but let me tell you after it got a little warmer and not ice cold, boy did the flavor come out. This one as I said before is dark with a nice taste of toffee, caramel and some coffee flavor, even a little vanilla. The toffee flavor really comes out and hops too. You of course notice the 9.5% alcohol but it wasn't too bad. I've had some with this or a little more and you would think you needed a chaser after it. This one would really be a nice complement with steak, strong/salty blue cheese, or chocolate. Yes I said chocolate which you may find weird but boy do they go good together. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWMqOR-f3qtO6vyXD1NNiJGJRhWvJ1CWJefhAmABrRU6kksjlRDik5Xglthsl5k2BSh2EGI0NTlcc7bKZvrxCy9Bj7oZd_RBiXhZ0zWN7X83s6hfL5gVcak4vKI0pJFRwukREFphD_6cO2/s1600-h/great+divide+tap+room.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 110px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWMqOR-f3qtO6vyXD1NNiJGJRhWvJ1CWJefhAmABrRU6kksjlRDik5Xglthsl5k2BSh2EGI0NTlcc7bKZvrxCy9Bj7oZd_RBiXhZ0zWN7X83s6hfL5gVcak4vKI0pJFRwukREFphD_6cO2/s320/great+divide+tap+room.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5361022675709119458" border="0" /></a><br />If you find yourself in Denver you may want to stop in as this brewery is one of the best in the nation. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgok-TxS4P0WEOS7JnoDpdHZjXeF_HVa9IwyKl3ssujkCMsvvEOjCB_nderWjAingvdTEtzrardEqhAhH-20wLy3jcvoOtO_uLZKrH9JhbYAZ3Wam8ye7ZPnWInw-RF8jyeKlatUHrwAZFd/s1600-h/great+brewery.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 130px; height: 98px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgok-TxS4P0WEOS7JnoDpdHZjXeF_HVa9IwyKl3ssujkCMsvvEOjCB_nderWjAingvdTEtzrardEqhAhH-20wLy3jcvoOtO_uLZKrH9JhbYAZ3Wam8ye7ZPnWInw-RF8jyeKlatUHrwAZFd/s320/great+brewery.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5361027564522167746" border="0" /></a>Great Divide Brewing Company was founded by Brian Dunn in 1994 in Denver, Colorado. If you do happen to stop by you can sample both on tap and their bottles.DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-24519285223868255462009-06-13T12:24:00.015-04:002009-06-13T13:25:00.954-04:00Lion Stout<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLynLgTsP6qz2biKuNFL1YfH7VHceahMiGRvrsFimGI7_o7BG-PnzVmCs0H-JBtt17bqeEcdcQnnuprtF7-P_7APyuVcbIWlRg0Ry4qMqxuj4w_P5EH8faoahehUPStEGk0meW7ZexDlbW/s1600-h/100_0454.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLynLgTsP6qz2biKuNFL1YfH7VHceahMiGRvrsFimGI7_o7BG-PnzVmCs0H-JBtt17bqeEcdcQnnuprtF7-P_7APyuVcbIWlRg0Ry4qMqxuj4w_P5EH8faoahehUPStEGk0meW7ZexDlbW/s320/100_0454.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346862259063596258" border="0" /></a><br />Hey all, had this one a few weeks ago... Lion Stout from <a href="http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/389"><b>Ceylon / Lion Brewe</b></a><a href="http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/389"><b>ry Limited</b></a> of Sri Lanka I was waiting to write a review on this until their web site was up (under construction) but can wait no longer as I want to try another one. Lion stout was pretty good and very dark. I was unable to see any light through my glass as I held it up to the light. It has a medium tan size head that fades quickly. When I took my first sip, I noticed a taste of chocolate and coffee. Deep ruby black in color with a tan lacing in my glass. Hints of toffee and vanilla as well. I found this one very nice and easy to drink with 8% alcohol. It's full of flavor and if you can find a bottle, try it.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I did splurge on a case of Mexican beer <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMc_rQXjnVG_JonxF0rhsv1Z_o7WQ2aicIaWvHANdcs4mrn75vDSlaKh9KsZDvhpkZhBWKeFtY59De3jHZTV_RRIG34WdYZhsx0mZ1dS9jApgRwggE-Q_-AdZ7CFkPK1HyegCuTiiO-YlU/s1600-h/sol.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 93px; height: 105px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMc_rQXjnVG_JonxF0rhsv1Z_o7WQ2aicIaWvHANdcs4mrn75vDSlaKh9KsZDvhpkZhBWKeFtY59De3jHZTV_RRIG34WdYZhsx0mZ1dS9jApgRwggE-Q_-AdZ7CFkPK1HyegCuTiiO-YlU/s320/sol.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346860123426742226" border="0" /></a>(which you can find at Sam's Club) for 20 bucks... not a bad price. It has 4 different kinds of Mexican beer, 6 bottles each. First of all is SOL <a style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);" href="http://www.sol-beer.co.uk/">http://www.sol-beer.co.uk/home.html<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">.</span></a> Sol was first made just outside of Mexico city in 1899 and was named El Sol which is Spanish for the Sun. This one is thick! If you think Guinness is think you have no idea. I loved this one and hope I can get another bottle of it. Great taste, very well hopped and it was chewy. I know it was liquid but after you have a few mouthfuls it really describes it well... Chewy!, but I still loved it. If I didn't know what kind of beer it was I would think it was an Imperial Stout. It was so good with 12 hops and 12 malts...chocolate, malty, caramel with a hint of figs or raisins... oh so yummy. This one is definitely not for those who like the miller lites of the world. Or if you are thinking of having more than 2! 12% of alcohol makes it go along way and being so thick... it's a meal! I would <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_16">recommend</span> this one and I would have to say it's at the top of what I've had so far in tastings on here. It is think and really chewy but the flavor is so good. You can take a sip and taste one thing... and take another and find something else in there that you can pick out... This one is made with espresso and is high in alcohol. It's from Southern Tier Brewing company in Lakewood NY. It's the high octane Jah-va Imperial Stout.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxUiZsZyY5xHJVvp2NGCFr1PyKrtODtd5GXNjXhE1I02HUA0Kmy2L0enOPpSLaFdoQEYyDqIkaXq7Y4JtlrjOa6Od8GmHiDnG1FfIJXhUw66yDN2vlt_Q4eeyIji5EiVWgu2ToNFIkLNtN/s1600-h/tap_stbc_jahva_low.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 207px; height: 207px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxUiZsZyY5xHJVvp2NGCFr1PyKrtODtd5GXNjXhE1I02HUA0Kmy2L0enOPpSLaFdoQEYyDqIkaXq7Y4JtlrjOa6Od8GmHiDnG1FfIJXhUw66yDN2vlt_Q4eeyIji5EiVWgu2ToNFIkLNtN/s320/tap_stbc_jahva_low.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326444621657724946" border="0" /></a><br />Here is what their website had to say about the Jah-Va Imperial Stout...<span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">"Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the world’s finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cultivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation."</span> Enjoy in moderation because this one packs a punch at 12% alcohol. This Stout has a 2-row pale malt / caramel malt / chocolate malt / black malt / roasted barley / cascade & Columbus hops / Jamaican blue mountain coffee. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsHQXwJKH-K9odSO6aO9xy1KmVUoOe-cdIzWxpkblPbFJwBpnei5fCmiwBzebIVrNCtZ3RXCuIAAJArLDD_tWH-PCyw0MVEIUt7RdAD7ko_4uTMKw6_sw88xjcRJ9HTSW3YVRpu6-BwvH4/s1600-h/100_0443.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsHQXwJKH-K9odSO6aO9xy1KmVUoOe-cdIzWxpkblPbFJwBpnei5fCmiwBzebIVrNCtZ3RXCuIAAJArLDD_tWH-PCyw0MVEIUt7RdAD7ko_4uTMKw6_sw88xjcRJ9HTSW3YVRpu6-BwvH4/s200/100_0443.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326447706608930978" border="0" /></a>When you pour this one, it comes out of the bottle and fills the snifter glass with a black color with ruby highlights. The head of the beer is a caramel cream color that looks like it wants to be in my tummy. When you smell this one the coffee been and chocolate really come through. Now the alcohol is pretty high in this one at 12%, but it really was smooth and easy to drink. It was noted that good food pairing would be Cheese (buttery; Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss) General (Chocolate, Digestive) Meat (Beef, Smoked Meat, Game, Grilled Meat). You can really taste the chocolate and roasted coffee in this one. If you are looking for a beer to watch football with this one might not be the one. But if you want a beer to just drink and enjoy every sip, try it.<br /><br />Now I also had another beer that was written up in Beer magazine (which if you<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiXvyteiEK1TVTWS2AfaS-ZHPLprJerMJLclEBf9K_Nb3Jy6_o0McrBGL6ovdsXDSAkvZo8FjNqlek3plmbRt1A2yV9WMN9Ga1EhgOgKhS-5BQsAHFEPBhbipml1pmu25io7iL3PnpB4YI/s1600-h/shiner+bock.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 88px; height: 133px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiXvyteiEK1TVTWS2AfaS-ZHPLprJerMJLclEBf9K_Nb3Jy6_o0McrBGL6ovdsXDSAkvZo8FjNqlek3plmbRt1A2yV9WMN9Ga1EhgOgKhS-5BQsAHFEPBhbipml1pmu25io7iL3PnpB4YI/s200/shiner+bock.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326449897293965490" border="0" /></a> love beer you would like this magazine). I'm sure some of you have tried it too and it was from the Spoetzl Brewing Company in Shiner Texas... Shiner Bock! I wouldn't waste your money on this one unless you like the Bud's and Miller's of the mass produced beers ( which I do). This one was watery and very carbonated and fizzy with not a lot of taste. I thought I was buying a beer that was special... I was wrong.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Now on to other news and that is that I'm starting School tomorrow, Monday April.20th. I decided to go back and take classes at Ross Medical Education for Dental Assistant. I still am looking for full time work but I need to find a new career as there are way too many Announcers out of work right now with limited jobs available. So there ya go... I may have to put a new beer in the fridge for this afternoon as I tried both of the ones above about a week or so ago.DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-62198212809169118022009-04-03T12:27:00.011-04:002009-04-03T13:01:36.215-04:003rd Beer TastingThis week I decided to have a beer that I also had for the first time last <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwr6VhobCfq_z8gxzc3NNjnMxhZ2JH8nRzMGRH41951RnymGV1nawiihIBrTaU_8xFwtYYRA2t1mR7O863V-WR1hZANjt5OjswhxAvcsyjVVVjYlnJE2AAI7y-IRlwuT4-Am8QYkC4-dew/s1600-h/images.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 115px; height: 86px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwr6VhobCfq_z8gxzc3NNjnMxhZ2JH8nRzMGRH41951RnymGV1nawiihIBrTaU_8xFwtYYRA2t1mR7O863V-WR1hZANjt5OjswhxAvcsyjVVVjYlnJE2AAI7y-IRlwuT4-Am8QYkC4-dew/s320/images.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320508686529234258" border="0" /></a>year at the World Expo of beer. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpGynkIg01A0F9EEYwAvcWVhsJ7STs10N-USO1YBar6OODiBqjw84sGM7RYSJs_WFymhLjGzmasS_s_jfGy5ugzMpZhuSxWVs85Sf_-_ZXRfwhsoGU0mpD9az5TIhu9_NcV8qX_wQzBDfX/s1600-h/World+expo+of+beer.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 95px; height: 85px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpGynkIg01A0F9EEYwAvcWVhsJ7STs10N-USO1YBar6OODiBqjw84sGM7RYSJs_WFymhLjGzmasS_s_jfGy5ugzMpZhuSxWVs85Sf_-_ZXRfwhsoGU0mpD9az5TIhu9_NcV8qX_wQzBDfX/s200/World+expo+of+beer.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320507263080218450" border="0" /></a>This week we head to <a style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);" href="http://newhollandbrew.com/">New Holland Brewery</a> in New Holland Michigan. The beer this week is Dragon's Milk! From the looks of it you would think it was a Stout but it's really an Ale. I liked it when I had it a year ago in a small amount but a big bottle was too much of this one. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmpOqKxinEnIPI30CJmNH19gcRhYZbkcY6zfwaxey4lLJ9sD0VgjcdyjIlQLtLCeVrjVuTTcO3SlSn3S-OnmVvuLNy65hYAZFARKgo74hMqL0U7rA7Jcs8qjKynkHPBIIV3o_9I3b4PPQq/s1600-h/100_0437.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmpOqKxinEnIPI30CJmNH19gcRhYZbkcY6zfwaxey4lLJ9sD0VgjcdyjIlQLtLCeVrjVuTTcO3SlSn3S-OnmVvuLNy65hYAZFARKgo74hMqL0U7rA7Jcs8qjKynkHPBIIV3o_9I3b4PPQq/s200/100_0437.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320509006654727890" border="0" /></a>The flavor's were good with a noticeable vanilla taste with toffee plus a sweet <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBLbcQLfEVhYwQ4snAbRhAHmCp5G9IbFkZjCCVM4ss_YKWu0ZZLmoEUosURiHAxLI8rskPfkyWuh1U_1eGCwpd60NUZV0O9m_RLFrvZU9xxv6nCWTarVHkIpmITpPx2hnLv1d7W_VGWdRP/s1600-h/new+holland+kegs.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBLbcQLfEVhYwQ4snAbRhAHmCp5G9IbFkZjCCVM4ss_YKWu0ZZLmoEUosURiHAxLI8rskPfkyWuh1U_1eGCwpd60NUZV0O9m_RLFrvZU9xxv6nCWTarVHkIpmITpPx2hnLv1d7W_VGWdRP/s200/new+holland+kegs.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320509586613079218" border="0" /></a>chocolate taste. This beer is aged in oak barrels and that taste comes thru in the alcohol, with a high 9% in this one. The color was very dark, with a slight hint of red. With such a high alcohol content, it's not at all hoppy and the carbonation is there but noticeably lower than other beers, making it very smooth. In a small amount like a half a glass I would like it but the sweet flavor of this one gets old to me after a while. Good thing I was able to only buy a single of this one. If you like a smooth, sweet, high alcohol content ale this one may be for you! Next week I picked up one I'm really looking forward to made with expresso as one of the main flavors. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQqcRjNMpntBys_8UaTdkTiOXWtny6r4iMpP2E0BQHMX_KgjBDArJaL-95XrpXwy9dQVWC_B99w64NjqdS5Q8hOxKyp02782ws8B8qTUk3UXSCdPQSqlHEPomdrKHogVQBq5Nn2frR-owT/s1600-h/new.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 99px; height: 149px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQqcRjNMpntBys_8UaTdkTiOXWtny6r4iMpP2E0BQHMX_KgjBDArJaL-95XrpXwy9dQVWC_B99w64NjqdS5Q8hOxKyp02782ws8B8qTUk3UXSCdPQSqlHEPomdrKHogVQBq5Nn2frR-owT/s400/new.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320509817500619762" border="0" /></a>DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-70502983600469040682009-03-25T09:30:00.015-04:002009-03-25T10:16:09.177-04:00Beer tastingWell it wa<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaK-n0jMkB6QJPZZvmdrBsckKrjAD948p-fTT44rF0CjNJq9rhqjOvfwM8SwCXMccGDKliNkWxN23T9X49iIAs4AdjUr5g65XRhVhavraCbNUMpwOBw5NFczNUmzCkOtUwM2bWICaBEF1o/s1600-h/Breckenridge+brewery.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 109px; height: 109px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaK-n0jMkB6QJPZZvmdrBsckKrjAD948p-fTT44rF0CjNJq9rhqjOvfwM8SwCXMccGDKliNkWxN23T9X49iIAs4AdjUr5g65XRhVhavraCbNUMpwOBw5NFczNUmzCkOtUwM2bWICaBEF1o/s200/Breckenridge+brewery.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317123858926875970" border="0" /></a>s time again to try a different beer and well, I cheated because I've had this one before. Since he lived in the snow-kissed Rocky Mountains, fulfilling the skiing portion of his dream was easy. But the great beer part – at a time when a "<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">micro brew</span>" was a rarity – that was another story. So Richard started brewing his own, more flavorful beers for himself and his thrill-seeking ski pals.<br /><br />His <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">home brewed</span> creations were a hit, and soon Richard was spending more time brewing than skiing. So he chased after another dream – making exceptional beer for a living. In February, 1990 that dream became reality when Richard opened the original Breckenridge Brewery & Pub in the town of Breckenridge, Colorado. Richard's ski bum days were over, and so were the days of bland beer for the folks in Colorado's ski country.<br /><br />Today Breckenridge Brewery continues to work hard to satisfy the thirsts of discerning beer drinkers. Richard's original recipes – and a handful of seasonal creations – are now handcrafted at our three Breckenridge Brewery locations in Colorado. In 1992 we opened our sister brewpub in downtown Denver, at 22<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">nd</span> and Blake Street. Just a block from Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, our Denver brewpub is home to locals, baseball fans and Denver visitors who seek a quality meal and craft beer with character.<br /><br />In May 1996 we expanded our family again with the opening of our brewing and bottling facility in Denver's historic Golden Triangle neighborhood. Here our <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">brew masters</span> and staffers craft and package the bottled and kegged versions of our nationally acclaimed beers. An adjoining tasting room allows guests to savor their brews in a cozy setting, in full view of the brew kettles and bottling line.<br /><br />Sure, our growth means we're spending a little less time on the slopes and in the high country. But we're not complaining. In the past two decades we've grown from a small 3,000-barrels-a-year brewpub to one of the most successful craft beer companies in the nation. We now handcraft nearly 30,000 barrels of fresh beer each year and sell it across Colorado and 25 other states.<br /><br />This beer is so smooth and yummy, e<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA43jKo3EfhYNR91D7X4wleZhhibuplbeUT8ihxpP81yALkhjZ7DnrEg_tEwJhVZn97RXHjMvFYGALXBVFhIcY-lr3SKaJsduj3UIkOGrAbnUHlHmk4G-lnHR2-ZiRiHa5oMD4NLJUBnE_/s1600-h/oatmeal+stout.jpeg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 49px; height: 116px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA43jKo3EfhYNR91D7X4wleZhhibuplbeUT8ihxpP81yALkhjZ7DnrEg_tEwJhVZn97RXHjMvFYGALXBVFhIcY-lr3SKaJsduj3UIkOGrAbnUHlHmk4G-lnHR2-ZiRiHa5oMD4NLJUBnE_/s200/oatmeal+stout.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317121801112594642" border="0" /></a><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">ven</span> my fiance likes it with its coffee notes. I haven't been blogging much lately since there is really nothing new to talk about and Aija and myself don't go out anywhere since the money is really tight right now. I thought I needed something to do so... why not try different beers and see if I like them. I'll be trying different beer about once a week and blogging about it. Before I get into the beer for this week... This is where I like to go in Saginaw for different beer and that is this place pictured below which is Oppermann's Keg and Cork<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLSg971TIBC0JsY3D3HVYhPfD3vQBCEE96jraQwR5c0vtT_fkB90WUETtYgvcRg7NyXNEpfa-uAlifPAeE3CWmNTPqxzRMyZJA5dzT7dy7O_OP_zQ6GI9k9uj5eH2XBoyFEOdodJGkON90/s1600-h/CORK+N+ALE+EXTERIOR.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLSg971TIBC0JsY3D3HVYhPfD3vQBCEE96jraQwR5c0vtT_fkB90WUETtYgvcRg7NyXNEpfa-uAlifPAeE3CWmNTPqxzRMyZJA5dzT7dy7O_OP_zQ6GI9k9uj5eH2XBoyFEOdodJGkON90/s320/CORK+N+ALE+EXTERIOR.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313847891277981426" border="0" /></a>The nice thing about Oppermann's is that if they can get it shipped to them you can get it even if they don't carry it. Now I've never tried it and I'm guessing that a case of beer special ordered would be pretty expensive. Also you really don't need to order it since they have so much to choose from already. Here's three pictures from the store to get you an idea of how big it is and how much really unique items they have. This is the beer isle...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb9YD-yfRxLxxN9Rysz7k4A3fw5wWeKwFCx358WXEXH-doguRxs79VwsAguGqAz8zOH-ZNmPdzD6m5WPbjyHSiLHBKjh2KmNIeEpwWV4PkailK0i8sNHBfiwgbK_PsZUbFx6Cj2qlUPgPi/s1600-h/BeerAisle.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb9YD-yfRxLxxN9Rysz7k4A3fw5wWeKwFCx358WXEXH-doguRxs79VwsAguGqAz8zOH-ZNmPdzD6m5WPbjyHSiLHBKjh2KmNIeEpwWV4PkailK0i8sNHBfiwgbK_PsZUbFx6Cj2qlUPgPi/s320/BeerAisle.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313848618701698034" border="0" /></a>These are all the single shown here and from there it goes down and gets into the 4,6,12 packs and cases. Also along the wall they have coolers with beer. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG8lv0lIeXHq1tWhGNrtIwDfRH3cnLfbeB34UnPTuAiFz4zq44oiidCooeji4-V1-nELRwMSva5hRUGSj7dXBioUsIGosPPqFqfcqLmuY2lXtvSKCPPhyA3IqFe_iWTQeF5WyLig_-0YBt/s1600-h/LiquorSection.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG8lv0lIeXHq1tWhGNrtIwDfRH3cnLfbeB34UnPTuAiFz4zq44oiidCooeji4-V1-nELRwMSva5hRUGSj7dXBioUsIGosPPqFqfcqLmuY2lXtvSKCPPhyA3IqFe_iWTQeF5WyLig_-0YBt/s200/LiquorSection.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313849264976716162" border="0" /></a>Next is the liquor Section which if you're looking for a cheap bottle of say vodka, you might not find it here. It was a little light for my taste. When I think of a Porter I think of a dark rich beer and this was on the light side. It had a good flavor consisting of caramel toffee, coffee, and brown sugar taste to it. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU4pYA6ed_tnsdz5kMddRVcgImCNL2O9PWsUmD6qmyRGAxBuCygGRf6XvtpHFAiSEwNJV0ubUNnvupVqCmw-EoFOfIiI6TgtQ-BjED-aFFU47H_HCzFrdQ4ZgePT-11UATTYPB0cUDcL0M/s1600-h/100_0429.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU4pYA6ed_tnsdz5kMddRVcgImCNL2O9PWsUmD6qmyRGAxBuCygGRf6XvtpHFAiSEwNJV0ubUNnvupVqCmw-EoFOfIiI6TgtQ-BjED-aFFU47H_HCzFrdQ4ZgePT-11UATTYPB0cUDcL0M/s200/100_0429.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313858901983760530" border="0" /></a>The finish was a little bitter but the coffee flavor really came thru and was quite nice. It had a good color too it and nice head as you can see, and the flavor was OK. I must say I probably won't be getting this one again but if you like the lighter side of Porter, you may like this one. Well there ya go, the first beer review. I think I'll keep going on the Porter's and Stouts. I think I have a nice Oatmeal Stout I'll have on here next week. Until then it's back to the cheap American beer brewed in mass quantities.DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-42318626732940622342009-01-05T12:37:00.006-05:002009-01-27T10:27:53.456-05:00Hello Blogger Land, I know been a long time since I blogged but not a lot has happened since I last blogged. I keep sending out stuff but still no work. From what I hear from friends in the industry, there are lots of <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Dj's</span> out of work right now. Since being unemployed money is of course short. The things you don't even think about when you have job like ordering a pizza for delivery is a premium now for <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Aija</span> and myself. So I decided to make a pizza which is a lot cheaper and oh so tasty too. I got thin crust <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">pre</span>-made pizza crusts at the store and made an <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Alfredo</span> pizza. It has <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Alfredo</span> sauce, chicken, fresh mushrooms and a little <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">sauteed</span> onion, sun dried tomatoes, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">spinach</span> and of course Mozzarella and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">Parmesan</span> cheese. Oh and I forgot that I brushed an oil that had a bunch of herbs in it on the crust. So here is what it looked like when it was right out of the oven.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ7kEsmKmvMeuen2XGmtEWZae9RMvloG5HchZPGPHAUgJn-LmaMtv6nlrXFFMNDVSq3_w_VHcV3TXoT2LPzmV53EI1Ey0DU7LUM5Ymf6h-lrjw7cRV1d0j1MZMc7mNHwVx7fkKzKnmsc5I/s1600-h/100_0336.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ7kEsmKmvMeuen2XGmtEWZae9RMvloG5HchZPGPHAUgJn-LmaMtv6nlrXFFMNDVSq3_w_VHcV3TXoT2LPzmV53EI1Ey0DU7LUM5Ymf6h-lrjw7cRV1d0j1MZMc7mNHwVx7fkKzKnmsc5I/s320/100_0336.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271546424308042626" border="0" /></a><br />It was so good and we saved a bunch of money on doing it ourselves. The pizza crusts came in a two pack so I made a peperoni pizza a few days later and we had that which was good also. So there ya go, a quick great meal on a unemployed <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">dj's</span> budget. Make sure to check out Aija's blog as Lucy had to get a hair cut for a lot of mats in her fur so... try not to laugh to much. She looks like a different animal and so cute and tiny!! I know I haven't been writing much on here but being unemployed sucks and I really don't feel like it right now. Well Aija and I haven't been out since I've been unemployed so we decided to go out for Halloween. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF8C1w53aJN1fys7u83Wxs9l44lMZasrol6vAVsL70P7agp4BvMfogTH3_JEpAdhjk_MPmydAC5L9erMZBBWHAvd6wAhsQUz0pMfJ6SEW01Db4BuyKYXsQs9LK6RpYjo3cKvw-5OE7v9ck/s1600-h/halloween.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 142px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF8C1w53aJN1fys7u83Wxs9l44lMZasrol6vAVsL70P7agp4BvMfogTH3_JEpAdhjk_MPmydAC5L9erMZBBWHAvd6wAhsQUz0pMfJ6SEW01Db4BuyKYXsQs9LK6RpYjo3cKvw-5OE7v9ck/s200/halloween.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264566941591456354" border="0" /></a>We really didn't go out a lot or even at all before no job but we were both getting cabin fever and it's not even winter yet. Well I was a nerd and she was a nerd school girl! So it was fun and here are the pictures.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKn3GopJZiUrpylcjoo_UXDO2wKKSxqheUNFx5N7Vye0GH7QB22LkFp1913c9HqzjAHu8pSxj_OH_1V0tprkOJpEGmyR3aZxi4vIXOxJJdFU8M2F_SV2I6ILl4ZA-YrU_PjPOVhkQBnnNw/s1600-h/Picture+008.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKn3GopJZiUrpylcjoo_UXDO2wKKSxqheUNFx5N7Vye0GH7QB22LkFp1913c9HqzjAHu8pSxj_OH_1V0tprkOJpEGmyR3aZxi4vIXOxJJdFU8M2F_SV2I6ILl4ZA-YrU_PjPOVhkQBnnNw/s200/Picture+008.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264567340391096018" border="0" /></a>This is Josh and Andreja, future sis and bro in-law. It really sucks being out of a job. I was close to getting a job in MN and came in second. I really was over qualified for the job but I figured it was job. When I was interviewing the Operations Manager told me he had 45 applications for the job. I know you probably don't know but... that is huge for just a afternoon shift!! I hope to get something soon cause I'm getting sick of the Food network when I can't afford to make the things I see...hehehe. Oh and I almost forgot Aija knitted me a new had for winter and it is pretty cool.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaCtnZ74w-PR7X92Xpcbxa_it2ykf3o7KKGoreLeM3KKHdaKUb2rUK1YbpiuEPff8JAxsjBiBhjHziPD3DaONoCR5B_UhKDzttR1qvQjzjuIVxrsvrWIOD74v2pEAa7HoiKffnfq7e2NPS/s1600-h/Picture+001.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaCtnZ74w-PR7X92Xpcbxa_it2ykf3o7KKGoreLeM3KKHdaKUb2rUK1YbpiuEPff8JAxsjBiBhjHziPD3DaONoCR5B_UhKDzttR1qvQjzjuIVxrsvrWIOD74v2pEAa7HoiKffnfq7e2NPS/s200/Picture+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264569593707687922" border="0" /></a>Hey I'll try to take more pics and get them on here for ya but for now... Since <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Aija</span> is tired when she gets home from work as I would be if I had a job...wink wink, I figure why not! So a nice flank steak is what's in the fridge marinating and it looks delicious. I did find something out when I was chopping the garlic and fresh ginger. My cat Saki joined me on the other half of the counter(other side) so I put a piece of ginger up to her nose and she as usual tried to sniff it but didn't like that at all and backed away. So I did the same with the garlic and she took one whiff of that and started licking her nose and decided she would watch from the floor...<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">hehehe</span>. I'm just going simple and making mashed potatoes with butter, three cheese and parsley on top for the side with the flank steak. Here is how it turned out and it looks more red in this picture than it was. We had left overs so I'm planning on having lunch with some warm <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">tortillas</span> and the meat...yummy.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0Vkkfqv-nFEjkxZQoR4tVldvqhKgIYlkFwVnYClIt5IOUeK8v_EtuDthyXIw0ySgJhvz7r7SLaM-DHT4U4Mc__V2494Jve9-M1DRI8_HjjYlqz9xvViZUi5GJYqzDV0EgAWsvz3AShbMZ/s1600-h/alpacks+003.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249252313199718386" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0Vkkfqv-nFEjkxZQoR4tVldvqhKgIYlkFwVnYClIt5IOUeK8v_EtuDthyXIw0ySgJhvz7r7SLaM-DHT4U4Mc__V2494Jve9-M1DRI8_HjjYlqz9xvViZUi5GJYqzDV0EgAWsvz3AShbMZ/s200/alpacks+003.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Grandma Doreen's Flank Steak</span><br /></strong><br />1 flank steak (any size)<br />2 tablespoons sesame oil<br />Red pepper flakes, to taste<br />4 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped<br />2 (1 1/2-inch) pieces fresh ginger, peeled and sliced as thinly as possible<br />1 cup dry red wine<br />1/4 cup soy sauce<br />2 tablespoons honey<br /><br />In a shallow non-reactive dish spread 2 garlic cloves and half the ginger slices so that all parts of the meat will come in contact with them. Rub the meat with the sesame oil and red pepper flakes and place the steak onto the garlic and ginger. Spread the remaining garlic and ginger over the meat and pour the red wine, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of honey into the dish. Cover with plastic warp and marinate for 2 hours or overnight. Turn the meat once during marinating.<br />Heat a barbecue or grill. Cook the meat for 5 to 7 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the meat. This may also be cooked under the broiler or, on the stove if you have a large enough <a class="cimotif" style="BORDER-TOP: medium none; FONT-WEIGHT: bold; CURSOR: pointer; COLOR: green; BORDER-BOTTOM: green 2px dotted; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; TEXT-DECORATION: none">skillet</a>. The marinade can be used by bringing it to a boil in a saucepan and then straining.<br />After removing it from the heat, let the flank steak sit for a few minutes, then slice thinly against the grain and serve in its own juices with cooked marinade sauce drizzled on top.</div>DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-55496815489846698272008-08-19T22:45:00.017-04:002008-08-26T10:50:44.710-04:00My cat SakiWell some of you may know I have never had a pet, unless you consider that little hamster that bit my finger and was killed... A couple of nights ago I was watching T.V. and on the computer at the same time(both in the living room). I turned my chair around and usually I'll find her in my recliner as that is her chair when I'm not in it. Well the picture to the Left is what I found... She was watching TV on her back with her head up and her feet out! She just gave me a look like "what are you looking at"...hehehe. Oh well she is a good cat but I have to watch my feet in the morning while I'm in bed because she will sit at the end of the bed and anything that moves under the covers is fair game for her to pounce on. Then she has to get it(my feet) and that means getting the claws out and biting my toes!! Yes if you can believe it she has been kicked out of my bed in the morning. All in all she is a good cat and getting along with Lucy the Diva much better than a couple of months ago. Now they are buddies for the most part and even like to get by the patio door and watch squirrel's together<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5236428063269318242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4XX0QivrAQrvwjaswDA6zXPTp3btqdHAuvjJfHfoEyXAz2oQcnHnWsi4-h9iyZ1g6TQyGfwXQ1hN58Wkq1QQepanA-_b0dZIgUZkO4DO0Z2tSAe1krHzIZd8S3Vd8i6ulQASXZg10p3LG/s320/100_0247.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div align="center">This next picture is what they have been doing lately and that is just loving each other... well I should say Lucy licks Saki and Saki... well let's her. So anyway I got the new Instinct phone (all touch) from Samsung for Sprint as my contract is up. Aija has a Sprint phone already so we just added a line to her contract and upgraded a bit but it's still cheaper than two contracts. I just got it Thursday night so I'm not all into it yet but it's pretty cool when you can watch live TV right on your phone. It also works as mp3 player for your music library and photo gallery all synced to your computer. It has the Web and I can get my email on it. I think the coolest thing on this is the voice GPS which guides you to your destination right from the phone so it's hands free in your car. Well I better get back to work but this weekend should be fun trying to get use to the phone. Oh and by the way I am a man... I didn't read the directions and just started playing with my new toy!! Thought you'd like that one Honey!!!!DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-34260802446303612992008-07-26T08:27:00.003-04:002008-07-26T09:24:15.494-04:00Live, Collective Soul, Blues TravelerWell the weekend is here and I think it's going to be a nothing weekend, just kind of hangin out doing nothing. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7I0oIRfd4uah57pXg3j1ZMsZknXqi7n2fthDHh0KdDsGxW94l-NLPLnrGqgkOKzXssFxRZMCTl1H-oNuxy9HGN7lKFCEaSSdyfQtpcuXj5sFI_DZtnoNOBc84pjqLvOMaj_p855Bzh3y6/s1600-h/Picture+007.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227306009075440882" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7I0oIRfd4uah57pXg3j1ZMsZknXqi7n2fthDHh0KdDsGxW94l-NLPLnrGqgkOKzXssFxRZMCTl1H-oNuxy9HGN7lKFCEaSSdyfQtpcuXj5sFI_DZtnoNOBc84pjqLvOMaj_p855Bzh3y6/s200/Picture+007.jpg" border="0" /></a>Thursday was the concert night at Meadowbrook and it was pretty good. I went with my future sister and brother in-law pictured to the left and my other partner in concerts, my fiance Aija has a migraine so she couldn't go which bummed me out. Earlier in the week I set up a meet and greet with Collective Soul and with Live. I had to work <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiZz3ZvSBaU4i9khYH3nithfo0vuPt_Khtsj_AeealKhIynNLOCWmXsKRVKxr5unyhGCFHrM2aTId37LMIyqAkEw-yu498szv-Lbw6FPPoO50fFMfogqyk9LTTDNBIsUnIed2Nd65fGxyq/s1600-h/Picture+005.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227306189743104706" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiZz3ZvSBaU4i9khYH3nithfo0vuPt_Khtsj_AeealKhIynNLOCWmXsKRVKxr5unyhGCFHrM2aTId37LMIyqAkEw-yu498szv-Lbw6FPPoO50fFMfogqyk9LTTDNBIsUnIed2Nd65fGxyq/s200/Picture+005.jpg" border="0" /></a>so I couldn't make the meet and greet with Collective Soul(pictured to the right) because it was at 6:15pm. Well it never happened for the people I set it up for as their tour manager never showed up... oh well. We got to the venue and parked and by that time Collective Soul was already on stage as we walked up. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1VbDobohFZPLixk-GyGVDIrAMASUBzNkgM2c1j8t5F6mMsgxBC_XeptPmXlam6N6-gBH2jPhrWUurOBDsTMjiPSJsYp2mtUhBGpdQsaS89GjBGVW9s5KmhRQpCeBU79UpYxE89NYrzrKG/s1600-h/Picture+009.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227306534687276690" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1VbDobohFZPLixk-GyGVDIrAMASUBzNkgM2c1j8t5F6mMsgxBC_XeptPmXlam6N6-gBH2jPhrWUurOBDsTMjiPSJsYp2mtUhBGpdQsaS89GjBGVW9s5KmhRQpCeBU79UpYxE89NYrzrKG/s200/Picture+009.jpg" border="0" /></a>Meadowbrook is is like DTE, as it is on a hill and there is a lawn area up above and then the covered seats up to the stage... it's outside. Our seats were pretty good (thanks to the manager of LIVE) in the 8th row on the left side. After Collective soul got done, Blues Traveler (pic to left) took the stage and they were really good. The whole vibe changed in the crowd and it was more of a party. So after that LIVE came out and rocked the place as they did last year. So after the concert we got to meet the band and there were a lot of people for that unlike last year when we went back. We hung around until the band came out and went thru the crowd. <div><br /><br /><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227307061492899586" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjlNRfCm9ZaeMhui4v5ZkwNFHGENc3wa8w0aKU6TeFoerAjyhUG-3lF6BJUheR6-EbqMls6y8W-w_3Lo2cBL3OTx4ktj7wqx-uAl2vvmcoiIvDEkoqJarG6_bUdKFrhS4zXBdpLDu7gkdm/s320/Picture+012.jpg" border="0" />This is a picture of the bass player who likes a good laugh as you can see<br /></p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227305661287554738" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDe7nI6G5fex-SpGXZrQnPbfVQqmQKxq_azk0J4tIuYm9E_OFySob95mgbB7OyR3542JJ-A6yoGxdMotdhk-xHIpm4rdARHfIMB5yS-RpsE5gVl3XVxEkpyrsmM1MVGeoWA5Tv4onXU2dq/s320/Picture+014_edited.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="center">This is a picture of me and Ed the lead singer</p><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227307597822363186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9ai3T4s6FNFVKvB-FGtrhWgW2vCERCHysdkFusrNWOaFvRqbXJOB3XlLaEipqI58FNTlp2xIkJvekfmvPvi6ElovZL4YugG40QgHvOhxNqPS9ZdhJAAHxqfcZK7wu2OxBdAjGDYWb0dmA/s320/Picture+010.jpg" border="0" /> </div><div align="center">Me with their drummer </div><div><div><div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><div align="left">I bet we waited about 45 minutes for everything and then we left. We all decided to head to White Castle after (becoming a ritual after concerts) the concert. My bro and sis in law decided we had to find the one around the concert. Well no one really knew where to go so we drove around for about another half an hour not finding it. Now I told them to just head up the road to the one we knew of but oh no... they were hungry so we had to look. None the less we headed up to Flint on the way home and got our sliders. We ended up getting back around 2am and we were all tired! So that was the concert night which was pretty fun.<br /><br />This week I did find out that my ankle problem/pain that I've been having is not a fracture but a bone spur in my <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX2lga-Skkost6SYxCYLqeEkgmNCRpNLedEZI8tLIgYo_eciQOrGDuQsrk3FaVppfpkRR3a48ccHHx30XDZW6J83eyUTc97ghO7WojqRBRLD_zzYph0UlM7jdwWi7XsdqUUkxNgVC2L9G1/s1600-h/Picture.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227309800956572962" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX2lga-Skkost6SYxCYLqeEkgmNCRpNLedEZI8tLIgYo_eciQOrGDuQsrk3FaVppfpkRR3a48ccHHx30XDZW6J83eyUTc97ghO7WojqRBRLD_zzYph0UlM7jdwWi7XsdqUUkxNgVC2L9G1/s200/Picture.jpg" border="0" /></a>left ankle. I now have to see a podiatrist and I guess that it's either a cortisone shot or surgery. I've just been asked if I'm writing a novel so I better get going so my other half can get on here and look at knitting stuff for hours and hours on end...hehehehe. She did an amazing job on dying yarn using Kool aid I must say as the pic on the left is something she did last weekend! </div></div></div></div></div>DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-28207209586737541382008-07-18T14:02:00.009-04:002008-07-18T15:56:28.052-04:00Concert Time again<div>This is going to go down as the summer that I see the most concerts (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Moondance</span> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd5Qh8WdPHnF8emOCkg_YR6fmhRjR5C5-MsE-z9lrTmQus8MlPN9VFQOeh0HgX62jjcMVpzSyN9g2MGuG26mTxiL-_dBO0cMsRS4yPFoohiaWsBv8mWCwraI4EtO37WIxabOTzR4J0sC8L/s1600-h/th_P-343.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224420661063037394" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd5Qh8WdPHnF8emOCkg_YR6fmhRjR5C5-MsE-z9lrTmQus8MlPN9VFQOeh0HgX62jjcMVpzSyN9g2MGuG26mTxiL-_dBO0cMsRS4yPFoohiaWsBv8mWCwraI4EtO37WIxabOTzR4J0sC8L/s200/th_P-343.jpg" border="0" /></a>Jam doesn't count). <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNLllGLAzY-YqsboVKRf4Bg8NrHwo6CgPOvynCVgGZHSMU-r6Pt2cuXN4UeUQFBeCUbVV62KomL8_NWacsER3n9IP8Tk26A8GZbNALIY3So3DX2FrpSUKanIIYakza_Yxw-_tSrtW1hoBN/s1600-h/th_live.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224420594015984786" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNLllGLAzY-YqsboVKRf4Bg8NrHwo6CgPOvynCVgGZHSMU-r6Pt2cuXN4UeUQFBeCUbVV62KomL8_NWacsER3n9IP8Tk26A8GZbNALIY3So3DX2FrpSUKanIIYakza_Yxw-_tSrtW1hoBN/s200/th_live.jpg" border="0" /></a>This Thursday it's Blues Traveler, Collective Soul, and Live at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Meadowbrook</span>. I'm glad that the Marriott spent 28 million to update the place as it was getting a little 80's casino looking. For the convention, day's started at 8am and went thru 6:30pm and usually a cocktail party for a couple of hours after that. Got to meet Rick Dee's ( radio celebrity,Pic on left) and I know not a big deal but he is a legend... after all he did have a number one song with Disco Duck! I pretty much hung out with my old, and I do mean old placement director for Brown Institute. Now it's Brown College and he is a professor so it's changed a little since I went there 19 years ago. We got to party Friday night in the chambers Hotel in their 5th floor bar <a href="http://www.chambersminneapolis.com/">http://www.chambersminneapolis.com/</a>. We left right before the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_22">Encore</span>, then home by 1am. Tired tired tired on Wednesday morning but oh well, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_23">that's</span> the way it goes with two nights of concerts. It's 5 days away from the Dave Matthews Band Concert<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208101029864360786" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmw_jZ0l3U3sIu7_3uD-99yxcFNbkBHH3xlBOAq78Q74uy8ZwEQjzHoS4-FicFVeNBXWwJOc0UcLHgGBk3m4CHmsy_0Dd327K-sGcXxoYbUwpvpYrSYnbpBzytsxN8O9ZacD3nvjOgLhOy/s400/dave-matthews-band_0003.jpg" border="0" /> Monday at DTE Energy Music Theater in Detroit (Clarkston) and then on Tuesday I get to see my all time favorite band RUSH <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208101207616751378" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbA_dMkgRwXel6T6_uTXG2TBPRRibaIKF7hoC5Lp5fTw5tJv0GDTctAKlatme1besbZooY7_vi6pPE6DTLUFZWxhyslb117FVfCjO1vMEx3-psZoMaK4_m9At7xo5TTJSu6vYPmjflicHf/s400/th_stage_wide426.jpg" border="0" />with a meet and greet with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. I'm really excited to see both of these bands, it just kind of sucks that I have to work all week long so by Friday I'll be tired I bet. I'll try to get pictures up after both of the concerts but I'm not sure about the Rush show with pictures as no cameras are allowed. Above are a couple of video's from each band, take a look!DJ Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17460793316279440324noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4827627089145788848.post-64301856043460130112008-05-28T09:23:00.012-04:002008-05-28T09:56:47.489-04:00Memorial weekend<div align="center">Summer is now here; at least that’s what I say after Memorial Day. Monday we went over to my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">GF</span>’s (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Aija</span>) sister’s family for a Hawaiian Luau. We got over there and I was sent out right away to get ice, like I’m part of the family already… <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">gesh</span>!!<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">hehehehe</span>. So I got back to the house and found Josh(Bro-<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">in law</span>) and his sister cooking in the kitchen. Now you think you would find Josh and his wife <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Andreja</span> in the kitchen but no, she was getting ready which takes forever to get this product… <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5205419208871997330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglWyOyBfxoTDLbR-uaP9gVHqN6m3rK6mxbsjGThkciiiSdSnzN6J9Ymeg_wumn-vqwYH51buW9y7KVZIlw7cn2taUnLrIeaQc4FzDkEx3kTlG2pIUb7l4rn_jAuOiDWkPzsFzP8RgbwTjM/s400/Hula+003.jpg" border="0" />I mean look at her, she looks like she should be a Solid Gold Dancer from TV back in the 80’s( I love giving my future sister in-law crap). </div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5205420806599831554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-BH3pi3MSOAHi5ZxyTYysd2UNnc7J7mrt03HsRBGvDt7fZMdEW8goPecql_ErMXVFOpVDSxBto_iqIwMHhMzrkoOA7oskmuURLiCw9vWhN0sPR8oIUwdHz0DwEcwdkCaEg6r-u82T6Vfy/s400/Hula+005.jpg" border="0" /> We waited for people to show up so <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Aija</span> my future bride took a pic of me drinking a Bahama Mama</div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5205420621916237810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKh2gnSJCmNBi0O8zjQz1rKG9yzEUeTnmpF4PTCHuhqYZXZUPneL8Opid0WemojGYwA_BYIaNgxX9z13QpHuH2W9kHAUryZAQ4CsCdMmjOtcMHfPoFCwY-2xzXdHjiajA5hfj3jvC9z46/s400/Hula+004.jpg" border="0" />and then being bored I took a picture of her looking oh so lovely</div><div align="center"><div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5205419453685133218" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpjh2uNjuWQPLJ8aQ4ZhaBmLreN5ZsDzr4givT82xj3RQVz077yxDtLUpZddhMDt8diGGZtgmubFDi-MWzCRpOgsoqVEEnlIslhWyJUIQlRbpM1tmlTLeUjCadg3JC9ViRj7ksPFw9UMWU/s400/Hula+010.jpg" border="0" /></div><div align="center">So we went outside and people started coming to the party. We got Engaged!!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201405097184456114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioxgS9f9unNE_DUsQxu11ijFE8vmip5-AKictGzYCa1QyH5Igfc-8BMNk9cawLjOf2fQyR5817L0VhtMthzfGmGGrEogZh1wFm12zcGyVYwBUu9ZAYzdN8Yi-BQeAcmaORRXmpWWtzLAu2/s400/ring.jpg" border="0" /> Well today was the day that I'm sure will change my life, I asked my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">GF</span> to marry me and she said YES!! I first went to the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">jewelry</span> store yesterday on my lunch and thought I would just look at rings as I felt it was time... it's been 10 months that we have been going out and we have talked about it. SO, I had no idea what to get; the only thing I knew is that she likes simple. So I just got a small <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">solitaire</span> diamond. I kept looking at it at work and decided that I wanted to give her more than that so I went back to the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">jewelry</span> store after work and got her a bigger diamond with little diamonds under the stone. When my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">GF</span> got home I looked at the fake ring she has on(so she won't get hit on at work). I said wow that fake ring sure is big and she said yes it's big and it has a round diamond on it and I don't like that... OH great!!! Guess what kind of stone I got her, you guessed it, round. So after I went to work at a remote broadcast this morning I went back to the jewelry store and got a totally different ring and now a band for the set and here is what it looks like. <div></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201406213875953138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY7-85IW54Gsrh4nrZ6yf4TTrnfP3KVFOBSeGM4cKt8nQSsOCokIHhj-BnhH9HsT39EB3NeBHaBEan75zhHQk8I3KWKnb1CyL_w5B5Sq977oI8XQtn-Lbx4MDtJQq5uDlNqjHZHC3g8HnA/s400/Bling+pic+006.jpg" border="0" /></div><br /><p>This is the ring alone without the band. We bought a charcoal grill at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Wal</span>-Mart so tonight it's <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">grillin</span> time and I got out of work and thought it was also try some different beer night. I went to the store and this place has so much to choose from and a lot of different stuff you wouldn't find anywhere else. Tonight I'm having beer from Clipper City Brewing Co. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpwg9AbvprkfT3s2cVNyq7jDUKTxOqZPrPrS7See8UNQ2Bc1qLUvTCSvTmACNIkk6ZkIIXJOHEC5tEHLwnN5JVthyphenhyphenLP6utU6P_ZjVLO4WlzaxaKFxOtDlQbhm0oE6RvYWumdTvz3Psj6Mr/s1600-h/Bottle_Cap_0.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpwg9AbvprkfT3s2cVNyq7jDUKTxOqZPrPrS7See8UNQ2Bc1qLUvTCSvTmACNIkk6ZkIIXJOHEC5tEHLwnN5JVthyphenhyphenLP6utU6P_ZjVLO4WlzaxaKFxOtDlQbhm0oE6RvYWumdTvz3Psj6Mr/s400/Bottle_Cap_0.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200012363844414850" border="0" /></a>I bought a sampler pack and I've had a Red Sky At Night which is a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Saison</span> Ale and I've had a Small Craft Warning which is a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Uber</span> Pills. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjpCbBWGgdK6M9Lctz1pk33tWhiZvFFMVFQGLJwriGXksabvZsnLWnoTZqfyTf0zJwjQguuYhrA73oyC0pefW5N0WxT92sMzdYNGVFy7910HndWQrp-MaTv3bVux602XD7V7NQc0NxRvGK/s1600-h/beer.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjpCbBWGgdK6M9Lctz1pk33tWhiZvFFMVFQGLJwriGXksabvZsnLWnoTZqfyTf0zJwjQguuYhrA73oyC0pefW5N0WxT92sMzdYNGVFy7910HndWQrp-MaTv3bVux602XD7V7NQc0NxRvGK/s400/beer.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200012514168270226" border="0" /></a>It's pretty good beer and in the sample pack it came with Loose Cannon which is a Hop3 Ale and Peg Leg which is an Imperial Stout.
